Golden Words of a Sufi Sheikh
Published in Paperback by Fellowship Press (November, 1994)
Authors: M. R. Bawa Muhaiyaddeen and M. R. Bawa Muhaiyaddeen
Average review score:

The most essential reading of all for a student of Sufism.
The quintessential work on Sufism! A priceless collection of short stories, aphorisms, songs, Q&As, and wisdom explanations. Much of what appears here is unique and not available in any other book in print. Taken from the spoken word, the words flow with ease and illuminate one's consciousness. The teachings of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen embrace all faiths, all religions with loving kindness. A MUST read for the serious 'seeker' regardless of ones path or personal persuasion!!!

The Golden World (America 2040/Evan Innes, 2)

Great!!
If you like science fiction / apocolytic type novels, you'll love this one! I read book three a few years ago - and loved it too!! I just came across book #2 in a thrift store, and it put me in a horrid dilemma - stay up and read it all night because it was so engrossing, or ration the pages, since I didn't have any of the other books in the series were. I guess that's probably the best dilemma I've ever had!! Everyone I've ever loaned the book has loved it too..

The Golden Year
Published in Paperback by Black Swan Pr (1995)
Author: Elizabeth Falconer
Average review score:

God, please take me there!
Finally, Amazon has all of Elizabeth Falconer's books available over the net. I have read all of them and own the three most recent titles, but will openly admit that this is my favourite. Elizabeth Falconer writes so perfectly about the places her characters visit in her books, you can almost feel the sun on your face and feel the warmth emanating from the love ones Anna shares her life with. This book is beautifully written, funny, sad and teases your senses. A great read - I highly recommend it, along with the rest of her wonderful books. Elizabeth, when are you going to publish a new book for me (and you zillions of other fans) to read?

Golden Years of Faberge: Drawings and Objects from the Wigstrom Workshop
Published in Hardcover by Alain De Gourcuff (April, 1900)
Authors: Ulla Tillander-Godenhielm, Peter L. Schaffer, Alice Ilich, Mark A. Schaffer, Ulla Tillander Godenhielm, and a LA Vieille Russie
Average review score:

A Wonderful Book
This is an amazing book. The original drawings of the objects, especially when shown near the finished works, help to illustrate the attention to detail that Faberge paid to his work. These illustrations, along with the information on the history, style, and clientele of the firm, put Faberge's work in context and provide a greater understanding of it than most books, which just deal with the completed objects. I highly reccommend this book to anyone who has any interest in Faberge or Imperial Russia.

Golden zephyr

Author: Nagarjuna
Average review score:

A clear and simple approach to understanding life
In my 30 years of study and research of the great works of Buddhism, I have not found a more direct, simple and reader friendly study of the great tenets of Tibetan Buddhism. Lama Mi-Pham a renowned teacher of his age, gave this special study to his regions King. This book lays out the details of how this leader, and each of us, can best deal with the day to day issues of life, love, government and family.

It speaks clearly to each of us. If this is the sort of book you enjoy sinking your teeth in, this book in particular will bring you much to ponder, and is one you will want to re-read any number of times.

Golden-Age Greats: Roy Rogers and the Silver Screen Cowboys
Published in Paperback by AC Comics / Paragon Press (May, 1997)
Authors: Bill Black, Alex Toth, Al Williamson, and Frank Frazetta
Average review score:

A fun, nostalgic and authoritative coverage of the media
As an authority on Roy Rogers, and a Rogers biographer, and a researcher of the silver screen cowboys and author of numerous related books and more than 300 published articles on the subject, and as a Western comicographer, I highly recommend this work for any and all interested in more data than has previously ever been published on this subject: it is thorough yet consise, and crammed full of illustrated examples of the work of the many artists who contributed to this--one of the most exciting and important media in our Western heritage, pertaining to the American cowboy in the comic art form. I have had a long association with Mr. Black, and he demonstrates here his devotion to research and the subject. This is a tremendous reference source for Western Americana buffs, students, and Western art/comics buffs and collectors. I am working on a massive reference book of all Western comics, 1900-present day, and have found Black's work to be an invaluable reference, not merely for it's content, but for it's quick and easy-to-use format. It has been long overdue!

The Golem of the Golden West
Published in Hardcover by Vantage Press (November, 1997)
Author: Giorgio Tozzi
Average review score:

Fascinating....kept me involved throughout, page after page.
The title caught my attention, and I asked myself, "what in the world is a 'Golem' and what has it to do with the 'Golden West'?" I glanced at the first page and found myself being drawn into the story. The words flowed with such an energetic stream of consciousness that after the first three pages I decided I had to read on to the end. I purchased the book then and there, have found it to be one to the most informative, exciting and entertaining books I have ever read. I find it hard to believe that this is a first novel by this author. I will eagerly look foreward to more of his works.

Good Night, Aunt Lilly (A Little Golden Book)
Published in Hardcover by Goldencraft (December, 1983)
Authors: Margaret Madigan and Diane Dawson Hearn
Average review score:

My favorite book from my childhood
I'm not a professional book critic of any sort, I'm a high school student from rural Oregon. my childhood was spent in the bay area though. One of my friends recently told me she was pregnant and I wanted to give her some of the books I had when I was little. The first one I thought of was Good Night Aunt Lilly. I don't even know what it is about this book, but it's enough to stay dear to my heart after thirteen years of reading it. To the Author: Dear Ms. Madigan: Thank you so much for this book. my family was poor around the time I was born, and your book was the first thing I ever owned. Being a little kid, it's important to sate that innocent childhood greediness and have something that is no one else's. Thanks again for writing the story that filled that void. ~Meg Herndon, Corbett, OR.

Good Night, Baby Mickey! (Disney Babies)

Sets the mood for going to sleep.
My daughter's eyes are almost closed after I finish reading this book. She can identify with Baby Mickey's bedtime routine and seems to be lulled by the rhyming words.
